My favorite time of the year is when autumn segues into winter. Snowflakes, as delicate as lace, gently covering the multi-hued leaves with a coat of sparkling white.
As you can tell, this abominable South Florida heat and humidity is really getting to me! "Yuk!" (for the lack of a better word). It is not even 9:00 a.m. and a full sweat sitting at my computer in an air conditioned house no less. Of course the coffee has something to do with that, but trust me, very little. Give up my morning coffee -- no way! The only good thing -- today is the last day of August, which means we only have two more months of this icky-sticky weather. Whereas all you lucky people who live north of us can begin to look forward to cool evenings, warm days, and nature's pallet for the fall.
Thought for the day: "Oh, the seasons...they go round and round and the painted ponies go up and down. We're riding on a carousel of time...."
